Two parts of BeMatrx point at things happening in the real world: Be Meetups, where members sit down at a table together, and the real-event listings that show what's on in your city this week.
Be Meetups
Be Meetups are organised at the Social Club. You register, the app seats you at a table with other members, and you meet in person.
- Open the Social Club in your city and find
Be Meetups. - Tap
Join. If you'd prefer it, choose the women-only table. - When the tables are set you'll get a notification telling you who's coming.
- Turn up, and check in.
You must be 18+
Be Meetups have a higher age limit than the rest of BeMatrx: you must be 18 or over to join one, even though the app itself is 17+.
Checking in at the table
The table host opens Show Table QR; every guest scans it on arrival. You'll need camera access. Checking in earns XP and records that you were there.
Check-in only works during the check-in window, at your own table. If you scan a different table's code the app will tell you.
Withdrawing
You can withdraw from a meetup you've joined — up to a point. Close to the start time the option disappears, so the people at your table aren't left waiting.
When you can't join
- You're serving a prison sentence in the world
- You have a recent offence on your record — check-in is restricted for a while
- The meetup is already closed
- The women-only table is chosen but your profile isn't eligible for it
What's on in the city
Venues also show This Week, In Real Life — concerts, matches, and theatre happening near you, with an overview, price range, and seating map where available. Tickets are sold by Ticketmaster; tapping through takes you to their site.
BeMatrx doesn't sell these tickets and isn't involved in the event. Listings can change: they may be marked off-sale, postponed, rescheduled, or cancelled.
