BeMatrx is committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. This page outlines our standards, mechanisms, and commitments to prevent Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and to keep our platform safe for all users.
Our Commitment
BeMatrx has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. We comply with all applicable international, regional, and national laws regarding child safety, including but not limited to:
- U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. §§ 2252, 2252A)
- EU Directive 2011/93/EU on combating child sexual abuse
- Turkish Penal Code Article 103 (child sexual abuse)
- UK Protection of Children Act 1978
Age Restrictions
BeMatrx is intended for users aged 17 and above. During sign-up, all users must confirm they are at least 17 years old. We do not knowingly allow users under 17 to register or use the app.
If we become aware that a user is under 17, their account is immediately terminated and all associated data is deleted.
Under COPPA (USA, children under 13): BeMatrx does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian discovers their child under 13 has created an account, they may contact us at privacy@bematrx.com to review, delete, or stop further collection of their child's information. We comply with applicable child protection laws including GDPR (EU, children under 16), COPPA (USA, children under 13), and KVKK (Türkiye, minor consent provisions).
Prevention Mechanisms
1. User Registration Safeguards
- Mandatory age verification (17+) at sign-up
- Email verification required for account activation
- Automated detection of suspicious sign-up patterns
2. Content Moderation
- All user-generated content (profile photos, posts, messages) is subject to moderation
- Automated systems detect and flag potentially inappropriate content
- Human review for flagged content
- Immediate removal of any content violating our policies
3. User Safety Tools
- Block: Users can block other users instantly
- Report: Every piece of content and every user profile has a report button
- Mute: Users can mute unwanted interactions
- Privacy controls: Users can restrict who can message or interact with them
Reporting Child Safety Concerns

Users can report any suspicious content or behavior:
- Long-press on any post, message, or profile
- Select Report
- Choose Child Safety / CSAM as the reason
- Our safety team reviews reports within 24 hours

We also encourage users to report CSAM directly to authorities:
- United States: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) — CyberTipline
- European Union: INHOPE (network of national hotlines)
- United Kingdom: Internet Watch Foundation
- Türkiye: Güvenli Net / BTK İhbar Web
- Global: Cybertipline.org
Our Response to Violations
When we identify child safety violations, we take the following actions:
- Immediate removal of violating content
- Permanent ban of the user account
- Deletion of all associated data
- Preservation of evidence for law enforcement
- Mandatory reporting to NCMEC and relevant national authorities, as required by law
- Cooperation with law enforcement investigations
Mandatory Reporting
BeMatrx complies with mandatory reporting requirements. When CSAM is detected on our platform, we report to:
- NCMEC CyberTipline (required by U.S. law 18 U.S.C. § 2258A)
- Local law enforcement in the jurisdiction of the incident
- National authorities in the user's country of residence, where applicable

Our team receives regular training on:
- Recognizing CSAM and child exploitation signals
- Proper handling and preservation of evidence
- Mandatory reporting requirements
- Trauma-informed response to child safety reports
