This Cookie Policy explains how BeMatrx Labs ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on the bematrx.com website. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit them. They help websites remember information about your visit — such as your preferred language — which can make your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of these as "cookies."
Our cookie practices comply with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, European Union), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, California, USA), and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Türkiye). Strictly necessary cookies are always active. Everything beyond them — the measurement and analytics tools described in section 2.2 — is loaded only after you have agreed to it, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.
2. Cookies We Use on bematrx.com
The bematrx.com website uses two kinds of cookies and similar technologies: the strictly necessary ones, which are always active, and measurement tools, which stay switched off until you allow them. No advertising is shown anywhere on bematrx.com and we build no retargeting audiences — but part of our measurement does run on Google's advertising infrastructure, and section 2.2 says plainly what that means.
2.1. Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)
These cookies are required for the website to function properly. They cannot be turned off.
- Essential cookies — Required for the website to function properly, such as maintaining your session and navigation state. These cookies are set automatically when you visit our site.
- Preference cookies — Remember your language and display preferences so you see the site the way you like it on return visits. Stored for up to 1 year.
- Security cookies — Help us detect and prevent unauthorized access or malicious activity. Session duration only.
These cookies do not track you across websites and do not collect personal data beyond what is necessary for the site to work. Your answer to the cookie question is stored the same way, in your browser's local storage, so that we do not have to ask you again on every page.
2.2. Measurement and Analytics (Subject to Your Consent)
On your first visit we ask whether you agree to measurement. Until you agree, none of the tools below are loaded — they are not started and then muted, they are not started at all. If you decline, none of this runs and the site works exactly as before. These tools store identifiers on your device (cookies or local storage) so that the pages you view in one visit can be recognized as a single session.
- Google Tag Manager — the container from Google through which our measurement tags are loaded. It is the delivery mechanism for the measurement described here.
- Google Analytics 4 — Google's own analytics product, loaded through the container above. With your consent it records which pages you open, where you arrived from, and coarse details such as country, browser and device type. Google Signals is switched on in our property, which means some of these page views go to google.com instead of google-analytics.com and can be linked to your Google account if you are signed in to Google and have allowed ads personalisation there. This data is processed by Google LLC in the United States.
- Google Ads conversion measurement — a single event, joining the waiting list, is also reported to Google Ads as a conversion, so that we can tell which advertisement or campaign brought you here. It is a count, not a profile: you are shown no advertising on bematrx.com and we build no remarketing audiences from it.
- PostHog — our product analytics tool. With your consent it records page views, clicks and other interactions with the page, how far you scroll, JavaScript errors, click and scroll heatmaps, and session recordings: a replay of what the pages looked like and how they were used during your visit. Everything typed into a field is masked in these recordings — an email address or any other text you enter is never readable to us. This data is processed on PostHog servers in the European Union. These requests do not go to PostHog directly: they pass through bematrx.com/ingest, an address on our own domain, which forwards them. The destination is the same, but because the request looks like a first-party one, ad blockers and tracker filters usually do not stop it.
- Vercel Speed Insights — measures how quickly pages actually load and render for real visitors, so we can find the slow ones. It collects performance timings, not personal profiles. bematrx.com is hosted on Vercel.
We use this information for one purpose: to see which parts of the site are useful, which are confusing, and what is broken, so that we can fix them. We do not sell it, and the only thing that reaches an advertising system is the conversion count described above: which campaign a waiting-list signup came from. You may change your decision at any time — see section 4.3.
2.3. What We Do NOT Use
Even when you have agreed to measurement, we do not use:
- Advertising cookies that show you ads — there is no advertising anywhere on bematrx.com
- Retargeting or marketing cookies that follow you to other websites
- Social media tracking pixels
- Third-party advertising networks or data brokers
- Any tool that sells or shares your data for advertising
The Google Ads conversion measurement in section 2.2 is the one place where our measurement touches an advertising system. It tells Google that a signup happened and which campaign it came from; it does not show you an advertisement, follow you to another website, or hand over a profile of you.
3. Cookies in the BeMatrx Mobile App
The BeMatrx mobile application does not itself use traditional cookies (the player of a video provider shown inside the app may use its own). Instead, the app uses:
- Device identifiers for session management and security
- Push notification tokens provided by Apple and Google
- Local storage to save your preferences and session information on your device

4. How to Manage Cookies
4.1. Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies. Here are links to instructions for the major browsers:

4.2. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no agreed standard for how a website must answer it, and we do not treat it as your answer to the cookie question. What decides whether measurement runs on bematrx.com is the choice you make yourself: if you have not agreed, nothing in section 2.2 is loaded, whatever signal your browser sends. If you have already agreed, switching on Do Not Track will not undo that — use section 4.3 instead.
4.3. Changing Your Decision
Your answer to the cookie question is stored on your own device, not in an account, and it is remembered for that browser only. You can change it at any time through the cookie preferences link in the footer of every page: this clears your previous answer and brings the question back, so you can agree or decline afresh. Declining stops the tools in section 2.2 from loading on your next page view. 5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
