Skills are the abilities of your career. Each career has its own set, and every skill has a level from 0 to 100. You'll find yours under Skills on your profile; tap a skill to open its page.
Learning a skill from its book
A career skill is learned from its book. Order the book from BeShop. Once it has arrived and you're carrying it, start reading. Reading takes four hours, and when you finish, the skill is unlocked. The book's page shows which skill it teaches and its XP bonus.
- A book only works for a skill you haven't learned yet.
- Your career's first book has no requirement. Each of the others needs a related skill to reach a certain level first; if you add one you can't read yet to your cart, BeShop tells you which skill and what level.
- You read one book at a time.

Skill Focus
Once a day, you can set a Skill Focus: pick one of your unlocked skills below level 75, and all of that day's growth goes into it. Open it from the Skill Focus row in your quests, from the card under Skills on your own profile, or from a skill's page. Your choice holds until the next day.
From level 75, a skill no longer grows through solo practice; it grows through actions.
If you have no unlocked skill below level 75, Skill Focus points you to a career book instead. Starting it, or ordering a book you can read, also completes that day's quest.
Actions at venues
Some of your career's actions at venues also raise one of your skills, as long as you see the action through to the end. Only skills you've already unlocked grow this way.
Tips
- Start with your career book — that's where your first skill comes from
- Use your Skill Focus every day on a skill below level 75
- Finish actions instead of leaving early
