What are skills
BeMatrx has a wide range of skills across different categories — from career-specific abilities to social, physical, and creative skills. Each skill, when developed, gives your character bonuses or unlocks new actions.
Mentors
Mentors are NPCs who specialize in teaching specific skill categories. Building a relationship with a mentor unlocks access to their lessons and accelerates your progress in that area.
How to unlock skills
Skills can be unlocked through:
- XP and BeCoin — Some skills require an investment of XP or BeCoin.
- Prerequisites — Many advanced skills require you to have already learned related basic skills.
- Mentor relationship — High-tier skills may only be available after building a strong relationship with the mentor.
Daily routine lessons
You can take daily lessons from your mentors as part of your character's routine. This is the steady, low-cost way to make progress over time.
Skill bonuses and stats
Many skills boost one of your three core stats: Intelligence (INT), Physical (PHY), or Influence (INF). Choose skills that align with your career path or playstyle.
