Sending messages to other users

BeMatrx lets you send private messages to anyone on the platform. Here's how to start a conversation.

Starting a chat

1. Open the BeMatrx app.
2. Tap the Messages tab.
3. Tap the new message icon (pencil or plus) in the top-right corner.
4. Search for the user you want to message by name or BeMatrx ID.
5. Tap their name to open a new chat.
6. Type your message in the text field and tap Send.

Sending a first message

When you message someone you haven't chatted with before, your message will be sent as a message request. The recipient will be notified and can choose to accept, decline, or block your request. Your full conversation begins once they accept. For more information, see About message requests.

Message types you can send

In BeMatrx, you can send:

• Text messages
• Photos and videos
• Voice messages
• Replies to specific messages
• Reactions (emoji)

Reading and delivery indicators

Each message shows a delivery indicator:

• One check mark: sent
• Two check marks: delivered to the recipient's device
• Two bold check marks: read by the recipient

Notifications

When you receive a message, BeMatrx will send a push notification to your device (if notifications are enabled). You can customize your message notification settings in Settings > Notifications.
