Running a city as Mayor

The Mayor runs the city. If your city elected you, City Management is where you do the work — and you have to be at the town hall to open it.

The treasury

The city treasury fills from the city tax on residents' salaries. Everything you spend as Mayor comes out of it, and every movement is recorded in the budget book.

The funds

Welfare fund

Money you allocate here is shared equally among everyone living in the city. The app tells you the share per person before you confirm.

Safety fund

Raises the city's Safety Budget: 100 BeCoin buys 1 point. There's a maximum — once it's reached, the app says so.

Allocating money

1. Open the fund and enter an amount, or use the Minimum, Half, or All presets.
2. Each fund has a minimum; below it the app won't proceed.
3. Confirm.

It won't go through if the treasury is short, if nobody in the city qualifies for that fund, or if the amount is too small to divide meaningfully.

Policies

Policy changes take effect immediately for everyone in the city. Some policies you set by hand; others are funded with money — the Safety Budget is one — and those you raise through the matching fund rather than typing a value.

Only the elected Mayor. Everyone else sees the city's policies read-only. See About elections and officials.
