About elections and officials

Some cities in BeMatrx hold elections where residents can vote for officials. There are four official roles, each with different responsibilities and influence on city life.

The four official roles

Mayor

The Mayor leads the city and makes decisions that affect overall city life — events, public spaces, and resident benefits.

Police Chief

The Police Chief oversees safety and enforcement in the city. Affects how rule violations and conflicts between community members are handled.

Chief Judge

The Chief Judge handles judicial matters and disputes between residents. Their decisions can influence community standards.

University Rector

The University Rector heads the city's academic institution. Affects skill learning opportunities, mentor programs, and education-related events.

Election cycle

Each election goes through three phases:

  • Registration Open — Eligible community members can declare candidacy.
  • Voting Active — Residents vote for their preferred candidates.
  • Results — Winners are announced and take office.
