Living with roommates

Living with roommates lets you share housing costs and live with other community members. Roommates can affect your character's mood, expenses, and social experience.

How to invite a roommate

1. Open the World tab and navigate to your home or housing settings.
2. Find the roommate option and tap Invite Roommate.
3. Search for a community member by name or BeMatrx ID.
4. Send the invite and wait for their response.

Accepting or declining invites

When someone invites you to be their roommate:

• You'll receive a notification.
• Open it to view the invite details (host's profile, location, terms).
• Choose Accept or Decline.

Removing a roommate

To remove a roommate:

1. Open your housing settings.
2. Find the roommate's profile in your roommate list.
3. Tap Remove Roommate.
4. Confirm the action.

What changes when you have a roommate

• Rent sharing — Costs are split between you and your roommates.
• Mood effects — Living with someone you have a positive relationship with can boost mood.
• Privacy — Roommates may have visibility into certain aspects of your home life.

Roommate limits

You can have up to a certain number of roommates depending on your home size. Larger homes support more roommates. Check your housing details for the exact limit.
