The first election is on 1 November: voting is open for that single day in each city's local time, and results are announced on the morning of 2 November. Every seat starts with two stand-in mascots set up by BeMatrx; each time a player runs for a seat, one of them steps aside.
BeMatrx features many virtual cities inspired by real locations around the world. Each city has its own character, venues, and community.

City elections
Elections are held in all 90 cities, and residents vote for the city's officials. You vote in the city you live in — not in a city you are only visiting.
