You don't start BeMatrx alone. A guide called Build Your Life walks you through the first steps.
Build Your Life
The guide opens on its own after your character is created and takes you through the things that make a life here:
- Get a face — take a photo, pick one from your gallery, or have a portrait made
- Your city — the one you picked when you signed up; everything from here on happens there
- Its landmark — the one place everybody knows, and where you are already standing
- Your first thing — learn the story behind that landmark; it goes on your profile as something you actually did
- Tell someone about it — share it as a Flash, or save it as a Moment instead
- Say hello to someone — the guide points out that following is quiet; going where someone is and greeting them is how a bond actually starts
Each step explains itself as you go. If a step can't happen yet — nobody's around to greet, for instance — the guide says so and moves on.
The citizenship ceremony
Once the essentials are in place, the city makes it official: you become citizen number something of your city. The app also asks whether to turn on notifications, promising only what it needs — your salary landing, and a couple of gentle reminders during your first week.
Show the steps again
The Show the steps again row in Settings doesn't restart the guide — it just reopens the "Keep building your life" list on your profile (six items like finding a job, renting a home, and picking up a skill). It doesn't touch anything you've earned.
After the guide
Daily missions and quests take over from here. See Daily missions and streaks and About quests.
