Your character is your identity in BeMatrx. You can customize their appearance, choose a career path, and shape how you interact with the world.
Starting character creation
Character creation opens automatically after you verify your email for the first time. If you closed the app before finishing, tap Create Character on the home screen to continue.
Choosing your character's name
When you create your character, BeMatrx will help you pick a first name and last name. You can:
- Select a name from the suggestions provided for your region
- Pick a combination that fits the identity you want to build
Your character's name is how other community members will recognize you.
Your BeMatrx ID
When your character is created, BeMatrx automatically assigns you a unique BeMatrx ID — a number that identifies your account. Your BeMatrx ID is permanent and cannot be changed. Learn more in About your BeMatrx ID.
Choosing your character's appearance
You can customize your character's:
- Avatar and face
- Hair style and color
- Clothing and outfit
- Accessories

Choosing a career path
BeMatrx offers 12 unique career paths, each with its own style and community. Your career affects the content you see, the venues you can visit, and how other users interact with you. Choose the one that best reflects the chosen life you want to build.

Choosing your starting city
BeMatrx is a social mobile application where you live a chosen life — across 90 cities in 54 countries. Choose the city where your character will begin their journey. You can travel between cities later. See About traveling between cities.
Finishing up
Once you've completed character creation, you'll land on your home feed. Start by following a few users, posting your first Moment, or exploring the world.
