Changing your password

We recommend changing your password regularly to keep your account secure.

How to change your password

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll to the LOGIN & SECURITY section — the same one that lists Connected Accounts.
  3. Tap Change or Add Password.
  4. Enter your current password.
  5. Enter your new password.
  6. Confirm your new password.
  7. Tap Update Password.

If you signed up with Google or Apple and have never set a password, there is nothing to confirm — the screen simply asks you to create one.

Password requirements

Your new password must:

  • Be at least 8 characters long
  • Contain at least 1 lowercase letter
  • Contain at least 1 uppercase letter
  • Contain at least 1 number
  • Contain at least 1 special character
  • Not contain your email address

What happens after you change your password

For your security, when you change your password:

  • You may be signed out of other devices where your account is currently active
  • Any active sessions on the web or other apps are ended
  • You'll need to sign in again on each device using the new password

This helps protect your account if someone else was using it without your permission.

Forgot your password?

If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. BeMatrx gives you two ways to get back in — pick whichever one you can reach right now.

By email — we send a reset link straight to your inbox:

  1. Open Email Recovery and enter your email address.
  2. Tap Send Link.
  3. Open the email and tap the reset link.
  4. Follow the instructions to create a new password.

By phone — we text you a 6-digit recovery code instead:

  1. Open Phone Recovery, pick your country and enter your phone number.
  2. Tap Send Code.
  3. Type the 6-digit code from the SMS into the app.
  4. Once the code is accepted, create your new password.

Whichever route you take, make sure you can actually reach the email address or the phone number linked to your account.

If the link or the code doesn't arrive

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Make sure you entered the correct email address, or the correct country code and phone number
  • Wait a few minutes and try again
  • If the issue continues, email support@bematrx.com

Password security tips

  • Don't reuse your BeMatrx password on other websites
  • Don't share your password with anyone
  • Use a password manager to generate and store strong passwords
  • Change your password immediately if you suspect someone else knows it
