About account security

Keeping your account secure protects your character, your messages, and your connections.

Use a strong password

Your password should:

• Be at least 8 characters long
• Contain at least 1 number
• Contain at least 1 special character
• Be different from passwords you use on other sites
• Not contain personal information (your name, email, birth date)

Change your password if you suspect it may have been compromised. See Changing your password.

Protect your email account

Your email address is the key to recovering your BeMatrx account. If your email is compromised, someone else could reset your BeMatrx password. Make sure your email account is secure:

• Use a strong, unique password for your email
• Enable two-step verification on your email (where available)
• Watch for suspicious emails or login notifications

Do not share your account

Each BeMatrx account is meant for one person. Sharing your account with others:

• Increases the risk that your account is compromised
• Violates our community guidelines
• Can lead to account restrictions

Beware of phishing

BeMatrx will never:

• Ask for your password by email
• Ask for your credit card or payment info by email
• Contact you outside the official app or website

If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from BeMatrx, don't click any links. Forward the email to support@bematrx.com.

Log out from shared devices

If you use BeMatrx on a device that others have access to, remember to log out when you're done:

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Log Out.

If your account is compromised

If you suspect someone else is using your account:

1. Change your password immediately. See Changing your password.
2. Review your recent activity for anything you didn't do.
3. Contact support@bematrx.com if you need further help.
